Downers Grove Park District
The Downers Grove Park District provides a wide variety of year-round recreation programs, facilities, parks, open space and natural areas. There are 48 park sites on 600 acres. Amenities include: 17 baseball fields, 17 tennis courts, 23 playgrounds and picnic areas, three fishing ponds, four pavilions, four walking/jogging trails, a concession facility, an 18-hole miniature golf course, Belmont Prairie and Lyman Woods natural areas, a nine-hole public golf course and driving range, community garden plots, horseshoe and sand volleyball courts lighted for night play, a historical museum, a community recreation center, a gymnasium, and two indoor pools.
Lyman Woods Nature Interpretative Center The Interpretive Center is a starting point for your exploration of more than 150 acres of old and second growth oak woods, meadow and marsh. Hike the more than two miles of marked trails and discover more than 400 species of plants, some of which are rare in the Chicago region. You may see White-tailed deer, Great horned owls, Red fox, Coyote and Cooper's Hawks on your walk if you are in the right place at the right time.
Historic Downers Grove Golf Course
Established in 1892 by legendary golf figure Charles Blair Macdonald, offers a unique nine-hole challenge in a scenic setting. With four sets of tees, the course offers a challenging, yet playable, golf experience for all skill levels. Yardages for the par-36 course range from 3,233 from the back tees to 2,515 from the forward tees. Also available is an exceptional driving range with 24 permanent and turf hitting stations, with a large practice putting green, sand trap, and chipping area.

Clubhouse Rentals
With a park-like setting and comfortable atmosphere, the Clubhouse is the perfect place to hold your holiday party, baby shower or business meeting. Customize your event with the caterer of your choice and beverage service provided by the Golf Course. The front room capacity is 60 people and the side room has a capacity of 30 people.
